I had a bad weekend and was missing little B's mischief to cheer me up. Monday is here and I am excited to see my little imp. :)

* new words *

Recently, little B has been using 'already' in her sentences and correctly of course.

* copy & paste *

There had been on many occasions where little B had stumped me at how she could do or say stuff at her young age.

* humbling honour *

This morning I was humbled close to tears  when little B's mum asked if I

* who's in charge? *

Few days ago, big E and little B were getting ready for their afternoon nap. They were fooling about as usual and big E soon left the room to go to the loo. Little B looked around me and saw her go out. Suddenly she made a dash towards her sister's side of the bed and grabbed her 'lum-lum' (bolster). Rolling back to her own spot she waited for big E.

* The dawn of the terrible twos *

B turned two late August and I noticed three days before her birthday she was beginning to show a 'monsterish' side of her. Granted I had accepted her to be the ultimate chillie padi (adjectively used to describe a fiery temper)

* mind games *

July 23rd 2010

Two afternoons ago, I cooked chicken rice and kakak had settled little B into her chair with a bowl of rice and chicken with black sauce in front of her. After dishing out soups into separate bowls I sat down in front of little B's chair to eat. She was busy tucking in her rice on her own.

* manners *

One morning on the way to my place, little B's mummy cleared her throat while driving.
Seconds later, from behind her...
" say excuse me .. "

Hahaha! She's hilariously right. ;)

* little B & P *

This evening after her nap, little B came out of the room having downed her full bottle of milk with some milo; happy and smiling. We walked to the front hall a bit then to the mid kitchen where I gave her a teaspoon of fish oil.  She then walked off to the front while I washed the spoon etc.

* pink ar ...*

This afternoon, having dried off little B after a shower I proceeded to dress her in a pretty lime green sundress. She ducked me as I attempted to place it over her head and scrambled away...

* lum-lum *

Kids say the darndest things they say and with B, she has the uncanny mind of saying something so simple that stupifies you for a simple split second and yet you find it makes sense...to her and the unaware adult.

* nutty nanny *

Call me crazy or weird but I hate the public holidays because my kids won't come over.

* holidays *

It's school holidays and it's a full house here.

B as usual and E too. Then there's V from next door who goes to the same school as E. Together they play and occassionally squabble, having as much fun as they can muster. :)

The house is not quiet and I actually kinda like it. ;)

* brush teeth *

Been doing a disinfection recently due to HFMD and I replaced the kids' toothbrushes chucking out the old.

* HFMD *

Sometime last year, E's mum called me relating her suspicions of E's little red spots on her palms and feet and few ulcers in her mouth. True enough the doctor confirmed it was HFMD ~ Hand Foot and Mouth Disease.

* ee oi *

Two days ago, little B and I were getting ready for her afternoon nap. After putting on her longs she asked for her pacifier which she needs to sleep. Then it was a series of nursery rhymes we sang together but she was not sleepy yet and so ensued this little ten minutes conversation....

* a quick hug *

Yesterday, I scooped up little B in my arms from the living room and walked to the back for a shower. Face to face slightly raised she stared at me for awhile, upset as she was not ready to shower. Then her smacked my arm as if to reprimand me and glared at me in defiance.

I looked at her and coolly said, " You dare beat me? Don't think I won't beat you back. "

She took a second before wrapping her arms around me giving me her signature hug....head nestled between my head and shoulder and tapping my back at the same time.

Now, don't you think that deserved a kiss? ;)

* a life changing decision *

It was almost two years ago I had to make a decision on what I wanted to do with my life as I had 'retired' from a very hectic and amiably jet setting career of more than ten years. Knowing my past job experiences prior to my last, I had somewhat dabbled in many hospitality & service related industries to know what I was not looking for. I had several good offers but nine to five was simply not my cup of tea to start with. A position at a store or behind a desk would drive me to tears of boredom...really.
